Training Sessions Open To Public
September 27, 28, 29, and 30, 2010

 

Open seats are available for a 4-day training course.  We will spend 2.5 days on Reliability Engineering Principles and 1.5 days on Basic Weibull/Visual Software training.  Visit the hyperlinks for the subjects and agenda.

with Paul Barringer.  Closing date for registration will be September 10, 2010 or when the class is filled.  Estimated cost is $1,100 depending upon the number of students attending.

 

The course is sponsored by the South Texas Nuclear Project who operates two nuclear reactors generating 2,500 megawatts of electricity on a 12,200-acre site (with room from two more new reactors).  The training will be off the nuclear generating plant site at the

Since the training center is off-site, security issues will not be a problem.

 

Bay City is located 100 miles southwest of Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport or 80 miles southwest of Houston’s Hobby Airport.  You will need a rental automobile from the airport to the Bay City, TX motels and the drive is easy with 1.5 to 2 hours elapsed time.

 

What will you need? 
      ●  For the Reliability Engineering Principles course you will need a scientific calculator with logarithmic
 function.  You will receive a 2”-binder with the course notes.
      ●  For the Basic Weibull/Visual Software course you will need a notebook computer with authority to install a demonstration progam (NOTE: if you have an authentic SuperSMITH program installed on your computer, DO NOT install the demo program).  You will receive a 1”-binder with the course notes.

 

We will solve many problems during both classes which start each day at 7:00 AM and end at 5:00 PM.
